Frequently recognised for her sunny “Bye Bye” sign-off, Emma Jesson is a popular face of
ITV Weather, one of the longest serving weather presenters and one of the friendliest
personalities on TV!
She is honoured and absolutely delighted to be invited to host the StokeonTrent Live Business Awards 2021 and wishes all the fabulous finalists the very best of luck. In such unprecedented times, she says it’s absolutely necessary to have something positive to anticipate, recognise and celebrate, and says: ‘good luck everyone!’
Emma started out as a colourful, quirky regular on national breakfast television, and can
currently be seen presenting the weather anywhere across the UK - - she is especially well-
known in the Midlands and all northern regions, as well as Wales and Southern Scotland,
and opts into Good Morning Britain.
Emma produces and presents news features, and is particularly at home in her wellies
presenting countryside programmes for the network. Currently she also contributes to ITV’s
latest ‘feelgood’ national offering, “All Around Britain”, which is designed to help lift people’s
spirits during the pandemic.
Emma originally trained to be a vet, but side-stepped into TV in her year off. As she made the leap from vet to met, she found that working with exotic species gave her quite a good grounding for a career in television!
She feels very lucky to be part of the ITV Weather team and for many years, swimming with
sealions, flying acrobatic planes, diving with sharks and abseiling off very tall buildings was
just part of a day’s work!

When Emma doesn’t have her head in the clouds - and when there isn’t a pandemic - she’s
regularly working across Europe, hosting blue chip corporate events or fronting client videos
or online website content for globally recognised companies. And of course, during the
Covid-19 pandemic, has been honing her skills in the virtual, hybrid and green-screen
events department, the new norm.
As well as fronting video content for household names like Kellogg’s, Sony and Coca Cola,
you’ve probably heard her voice overs on TV across the country.
She’s enjoyed carving out a strong corporate niche for herself and many of her clients book her year-on-year to work for the - either virtually or socially distanced. Emma regularly hosts racedays, ‘empowering ladies’ gatherings and a number of community events, as well as various charitable events and light-hearted ladies’ nights.
Away from the day job, she enjoys dinner and a musical, wildlife, scratching around in the
garden or kitchen... a spot of reformer pilates - and when there’s time – sleeping.
